The excursion destinations here in the Upper Black Forest are as varied as nature itself – how about a speedy ride on the Hasenhorn summer toboggan run in Todtnau, for example? Or discover the mystically beautiful waterfalls and gorges of the southern Black Forest, such as the Triberg waterfalls, the natural spectacle of the Wutach Gorge or the fascinating Ravenna Gorge, which is home to a magical Christmas market in winter. The beautiful towns and picturesque villages in the surrounding area also invite you to go on extended exploratory tours. For example, explore Titisee-Neustadt with its cuckoo clocks, the thermal baths and brine baths in Bad Bellingen, Bad Dürrheim and Bad Wildbad, the Muggenbrunn ski center or the cable car on the Belchen.

The ancient craft of glassmaking can also be admired in the old glassblowing workshops. Here you can purchase the beautiful products, watch the glassblowers at work or even blow your own glass ball. Find out what life was like in the Middle Ages in the region and visit the quaint Hüsli local history museum, where you can gain a good insight into the way of life of people in the Upper Black Forest in earlier centuries. Incidentally, the Hüsli became world-famous as the home of Professor Brinkmann in the television series “Die Schwarzwaldklinik“. The Black Forest open-air museum Vogtsbauernhof is also well worth a visit.
