Your dog and you will love it here in the Black Forest and will certainly not forget your vacation in a hurry. The evergreen nature of the Black Forest is right on our doorstep and our rooms are spacious, comfortable and just as dog-friendly as the entire Hotel Schlehdorn. In the area surrounding our hotel, you can experience the Black Forest vacation you desire, not separately, but together with your four-legged friend. There are many lakes, forests and mountains in the immediate vicinity for walking, hiking or strolling. The Schluchsee and Titisee lakes both have dog-friendly access for swimming and can both be reached in 10-15 minutes by car. The Feldberg and numerous beautiful hiking routes are also within easy reach. The range of scenic routes and walking trails is as varied as the Black Forest itself; from circular trails with panoramic views to leisure tours with refreshment stops and sporty, active hikes for people and animals – there is something here for every taste and fitness level. It’s easy to stay vital and active on vacation here in the Black Forest with the range of options on offer.
The Schlehdorn’s Stuben restaurant invites you to try regional delicacies or a delicious breakfast. Your dog may accompany you in the restaurant and will sit under your table/chair. We are part of the Naturparkwirte, a quality association in Baden-Württemberg, and source our products regionally and seasonally from farmers and producers directly from the region; you can feel and taste this. With our delicious and fresh cuisine, you can start your day of hiking, spa or your next excursion into the Black Forest well fortified.
As a dog-friendly hotel, there are also rules and of course many questions about your stay with your pet. It is best to read through the following FAQs and contact us if you have any questions.
We kindly ask you to keep your dog on a lead in the hotel.
With the exception of the spa area, you can take your four-legged friend with you everywhere. In the restaurant, please take a seat on the floor next to you under the table. We ask that care is taken to ensure that dogs do not lie in the corridor so that staff do not trip over them.
We reserve the right to send you an invoice for cleaning costs if rooms/apartments/furniture are heavily soiled with dog hair. If your dog is alone in the bedroom, please hang the door hanger on the door. Please let your dog do its business outside and not on the balcony.
