Good to know

The honey for our honey treatments is all-natural and 100% made in Germany. However, it does not come directly from a beekeeper, but from the Pino company. The family business was founded in the Black Forest in 1904. Here, using natural essential oils, high-quality health products and herbal medicines were initially developed for the European spa and health resort industry. Today, Pino is the leading provider of physiotherapy products and treatment concepts in Germany.

Nevertheless, you don’t have to do without delicious Black Forest honey. We will be happy to serve you a bowl at the bar or in the restaurant.

Good to know: There are virtually no contraindications for honey applications. In German: You can always enjoy a honey massage or a honey peeling. You should only refrain from doing this shortly after an operation.

Special massage techniques

Honey massages are among the oldest applications of honey and have been used in many cultures since ancient times. They can have several effects, which vary in intensity depending on the variant, e.g. purifying and detoxifying the body, relieving tension, strengthening the immune system and calming the mind.

On the one hand, the over 100 different ingredients in honey have an effect, especially enzymes, vitamins, minerals, fructose and free amino acids. On the other hand, the type of application also contributes to the desired result. Just applying the warm, liquid honey to the skin triggers a wonderful feeling of comfort.

However, we use special massage techniques so that the honey’s ingredients can develop their full effect. The pores open and the honey can penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. Targeted massage strokes now ensure thorough distribution and additional stimulation of deeper tissue layers. They promote blood circulation, stimulate the metabolism, promote purification and detoxification and relieve tension. We reinforce this tension-relieving effect with heat carriers in the back area.

Honey applications: Caring, cleansing, warming

Of course, honey is a balm for beauty and well-being in both honey massages and honey scrubs:

The honey massage is a good moisturizer for the skin with long-lasting effects.

It also cleanses the skin thanks to its natural exfoliating effect.

The honey massage is also a real source of warmth. We reinforce this effect with ginger oil and heat carriers, which are then applied to the massaged areas. Afterwards, you feel a deep warmth flowing through you that lingers for a long time. Just the thing for cold winter days.

Our tip: Avoid showering afterwards and rest for a while. This allows the active ingredients to develop better. A subsequent sauna session dissolves the remaining honey particles and gives the skin an additional silky shine and moisture for a longer period of time.

We only use special honey

Additional ingredients are added to the honey for our honey massages. For example, a soft wax prevents adhesions, e.g. on very hairy skin. Many men in particular appreciate this.

Cosmetic safety is generally important for all honey applications. The honey must therefore be chemically uncontaminated.

The honey must be cold extracted. This means that it was extracted from the honeycomb purely mechanically and without heating. This is the only way to preserve the majority of the valuable active ingredients.

To ensure that all three criteria are met, we have our honeys tested by independent laboratories ourselves. Or we source them from companies that can provide evidence of such testing.
